Job Summary

Rockaway is looking for an experienced Irrigation Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair irrigation systems for residential and commercial properties. This position requires someone who can work independently, provide quality service, and ensure irrigation systems operate efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Perform irrigation inspections for residential and commercial properties.
• Install, program, and maintain WeatherMatic SmartLink controllers.
• Monitor SmartLink systems for faults and report issues to management.
• Diagnose and repair irrigation system problems, including valves, wiring, controllers, pumps, main lines, and water source issues.
• Complete irrigation repairs and service calls with accurate paperwork.
• Maintain truck inventory and keep materials stocked.
• Respond to emergency irrigation service calls when needed.
• Identify ways to improve efficiency and assist with developing standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of irrigation experience preferred.
• Ability to troubleshoot irrigation systems and determine repair needs.
• Basic computer skills for entering work orders and using company software.
• Knowledge of residential and commercial irrigation systems.
• Strong work ethic and ability to work independently.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to follow company policies and safety standards.
• Valid Florida Driver’s License with a clean driving record.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to perform outdoor physical work.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and 25 pounds regularly.
• Ability to load and unload materials and equipment as needed.

Compensation

$24.00–$30.00 per hour, based on experience.
