**Job Summary:**
We are seeking an Irrigation Technician to join our team. The Irrigation Technician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing irrigation systems for residential and commercial properties.

General Job Responsibilities:

• Perform initial irrigation inspection, providing detailed analysis of system on all maintenance clients both residential and commercial.
• Prepare irrigation maps for new properties.
• Installation and proper setup and programming of Weathermatics Smartlink controllers and virtual controllers.
• Monitor Weathermatics Smartlink for faults and report to manager and property tech.
• Stand alone, maintenance and install related irrigation inspections and repairs with proper paperwork.
• Troubleshoot pump related issues, providing proposals to repair or calling in other vendors if necessary.
• High level diagnostic irrigation, to include valve and wire tracking, main line issues, water source issues, 2-wire issues, and controller issues.
• Maintain all required administrative systems, including LMN time, Weathermatics Smartlink, to include progress and completion reports.
• Monthly truck inventory and stocking.
• Handle technical service emergencies during non-business hours, as needed (Weekend on call tech.)
• Constantly look for ways to increase efficiency and create corresponding SOPs.
• Adheres to Rockaway’s safety standards.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

• Must have 3-5 years’ experience in irrigation/lighting industry
• Ability to troubleshoot irrigation/lighting systems to determine repair needs.
• Computer skills to include: MS Office, LMN, Weathermatics Smartlink, Site Recon, Plato, Site Audit, Real Labs and Teams.
• Commercial/residential maintenance and installation knowledge.
• Great work ethic.
• Ability and knowledge of how to maintain machinery and equipment.
• Strong leadership skills and able to motivate employees to perform tasks and complete projects.
• Flexibility is important, as schedules change very quickly.
• Need to be able to keep accurate and organized work orders.
• Ability to work in accordance with safety standards.
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with crew, management and clients.
• Ability to comply with company standards.
• This position requires one to be able to perform physical work and heavy lifting. This position requires the ability to load and unload trucks and move plants and material. Ability to lift 50 lbs on occasion and 25 lbs regularly
• Must have a clean and valid FL Driver’s License.

Compensation:

$24-$30 per hour dependent on experience.
